So, my latest show was a compleate disaster. My good old computer decided to freak out and I had to cut short everything. I guess such is is life however from the show I have scraped together an allbum which I ratherlike. I’m in the mixing prossess and waiting for remixes to come in but soon!!!!

So last night’s session of recording my good friend’s blackmetal project went amazingly well. We got a whole song done which is quite amazing. Fun pictures too! Mixing on the other hand is an on going project. Black Metal as you may know eschews high fidelity going for a more dirty “grim” sound. Min Air and I have to go against our trained instincts. Still it is nice to try new things and kind of exciting. I wish I could say the same about my own music. I spent a bit of time writing music this evening, or really manipulating sound, and nothing really came out satisfactory. For my new album I am taking older buts of things I have written but never really used for anything and just sorta tearing them to shreds. Unfortunately the bits and bobs were not cooperating. I’ll figure it out soon enough. The theory is sound just not the method!

I am listening to this in an un-ironic, un-hip way. It is seriously good!

I know, I know, I haven’t updated in a while. I could lie to my fictive public and say have been too hard at work on music related things. But alas no, I have been goofing around, going on vacation and eating brunch at roxy’s. But the last few weeks have not been fruitless for hjalti. Oh no. I have come out with a remix on MinAir’s brand spankin’ new EP, and released a video on the site. I’ll be recording a friend tomorrow too boot! So despite appearances, I have been quite the industrious beaver.
